<p>The vast majority of your prospects aren’t all that passionate about your offer.</p>
<p>Truth is, they’re kind of lukewarm. They’re interested, but they’re not taking their credit card out. Instead of making a buying decision, they decide to “think about it.”</p>
<p>Of course you know what happens: They forget about your offer. They don’t return to your store or sales page. Some of them may even make the conscious decision to NOT buy your product.</p>
<p>So what can you do to get your prospects to get excited and take action NOW?</p>
<p>Simple: Offer them an incentive if they order now. Do it right, and you’re virtually guaranteed to make more sales!</p>
<p>Generally, an incentive can take two forms:</p>
<p>1. You offer a discount. One idea is the straightforward discount, such as offering a percent-off. Another ideas is to offer a discount on the overall package, such as by offering free shipping.</p>
<p>Tip: You can even make it a limited-time discount so that your prospects feel a sense of urgency.</p>
<p>2. You offer one or more bonus products. Again, you can even make the bonus offer limited to increase the sense of urgency.</p>
<p>Offering a discount is a pretty straightforward incentive. So let’s talk about how to offer a bonus as a buying incentive.</p>
<p>Here then are the seven keys to offering bonuses that generate extra sales:</p>
<p>• Make sure the bonus is desirable. Point is, if your prospects don’t care about the bonus product, then it won’t help you generate any sales. So make sure it’s something that your prospects already want. Something that gets them excited!</p>
<p>• Create a valuable bonus. Just because you’re giving the product away for free with a purchase doesn’t mean this bonus should be worth little to no money. Quite the contrary – it should have a high perceived value in the prospect’s mind.</p>
<p>• Choose bonuses that are easy to deliver. This is particularly true if you’re selling downloadable products online, such as software or information. Point is, you want to be able to deliver the bonus instantly – right alongside the main product – without you having to manually deliver the bonus.</p>
<p>• Supply an exclusive bonus, whenever possible. If the prospect can get the bonus somewhere else, he might just do that. So try to offer exclusive bonuses to help make the buying decision easy.</p>
<p>• Offer a bonus that compliments the main product. For example, let’s say you’re selling a book about retirement planning. Offering retirement-planning worksheets and software as a bonus would be a great incentive.</p>
<p>• Sell the bonus. If you’re selling via a sales page, don’t just list the bonus. Instead, sell it just the way you’re selling the main product, meaning you should list the benefits of this bonus product or service.</p>
<p>• Remember that you can offer products OR services. Let’s say you’re selling exterior landscaping supplies and information. As a bonus you can offer a free consultation where you provide specific landscaping ideas for buyers. Or if you’re selling a copywriting product, you can offer a sales letter critique.</p>

<p>One of the most important things I learned from this guide is that Amazon does not allow you, under any circumstances, to use reviews posted on their website, even if they are for your own books. If you do that and their automated software discovers it (and they will), your account will be closed and that will be the end of this very lucrative opportunity. If you have done that, delete the reviews immediately. Fortunately, I haven&#8217;t used any of their reviews, but in my ignorance of their Terms of Service, I could well have done this in the future.</p>
<p>It would have been worth buying this guide just for this information! But there is much more.</p>
<p>The methods of promotion Sam shares are time-tested, simple, quick and easy to set up. They not only help sell more books, they also protect your account.</p>

Published in 2012, it is right up-to-date and exceedingly helpful to authors earning their living as a writer.</p>
<p>The bottom line is that any writer who sells books is a writer who gets personally involved in marketing their book. Their advice in this area is practical, helpful and sure to result in increased royalties for those who take it seriously.</p>
<p>The Amazon/Kindle marketplace are the two largest sources in the world today for new sales. Vincent Zandri sold over 75,000 copies of one of his books in just five weeks. John Locke sold one million in five months. The traffic is huge and hungry.</p>
<p>D.D. Scott said that when her books were listed in the first 100 best sellers, her royalties increased from $3,000 per month to $14,000 in December, 2011.</p>
<p>Three things that took my attention in <a href="http://www.warriorplus.com/linkwso/4tw1yq/6684" target="_blank">Professional Kindle Marketing </a> were:</p>

<li>Listing your other books and contact details on the last page of your book.</li>
<li>Encouraging people to sign up to an autoresponder so you can keep in touch with them on an ongoing basis.</li>

<p>There is so much more, like great advice on pricing strategies and how to use social marketing to your benefit.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>John Locke is a self-published novelist who has sold over a million copies of his e-books so far this year. He&#8217;s had as many as 8 of his novels on the Kindle Top 100 list at one time, all priced at $.99.</p>
<p>How did he do that? In his Kindle book &#8220;How I Sold A Million Books In 5 Months&#8221; he shares some of his methods and I thought this group might find it interesting. Here&#8217;s<br />

<p>Briefly, this is what he advises:</p>
<p>* Define your General Target Audience &#8211; the people who love the kind of books you write and would buy them if they knew about them.</p>
<p>* Create your book &#8211; write specifically for your General Target Audience. He very consciously writes a novel that he believes will delight his General Target Audience &#8212; and nobody else. He really doesn&#8217;t care if he offends everybody else.</p>
<p>* Create your platform &#8211; when you create your platform (including a web site, blog, Facebook page, etc., you should do everything in your power to make it as appealing as possible to your General Target Audience.</p>
<p>* Launch your book &#8211; when you launch your book, you should do everything in your power to reach those people in your General Target Audience. If you accidentally reach other people too who somewhat like your book, that&#8217;s fine, but your General Target Audience will be the ones who love your book and spread the word.</p>
<p>* Grow your platform &#8211; continue to focus on building an online presence that makes your General Target Audience happy. You&#8217;ll focus on adding them to your e-mail database, and they&#8217;ll be delighted to be there, because there&#8217;s nothing they want more than to hear when your next book comes out.</p>
<p>* Market your book &#8211; focus on crafting a message designed to appeal to people in your General Target Audience. You reach them; they&#8217;ll reach everybody else. Use Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.</p>
<p>I think he really makes a good point. He&#8217;s not just &#8220;going fishing&#8221; and hoping for the best, but specifically going after a particular niche of people within a targeted group.</p>

<p>The internet has opened up tremendous opportunities for anyone who  wants to have their own online business. The sky is the limit for creative writing.</p>
<p>Previously, people dreamed about owning a business, but became  discouraged at the high costs involved.  Technology has now made it  possible to run an online business with very little financial capital.  In fact, some very successful online businesses have been built, quite  literally, out of “thin air”.</p>
<p>The lifeblood of internet business, whatever type of model you use,   is TRAFFIC. You can have the best website, the sharpest squeeze pages,  the greatest products in the world, but if no-one comes to see them,  you’re dead in the water. If you’re willing to do some work using the  right methods, you can go a long way to getting that traffic!</p>
<p>There are basically 2 ways to get the traffic. You can BUY it, or you  can ATTRACT it. Many have worked hard at advertising an online business  and ended up with little more than a maxed out credit card for their  trouble.</p>
