20Writers & Authors: Treat Your Books Like A Business
Posted By: Val on February 20, 2012 at 2:32 pmI have been spending some time reading Professional Kindle Marketing by Bill Platt and Audre Hill and, once again, would like to highly recommend it. Published in 2012, it is right up-to-date and exceedingly helpful to authors earning their living as a writer.
The bottom line is that any writer who sells books is a writer who gets personally involved in marketing their book. Their advice in this area is practical, helpful and sure to result in increased royalties for those who take it seriously.
The Amazon/Kindle marketplace are the two largest sources in the world today for new sales. Vincent Zandri sold over 75,000 copies of one of his books in just five weeks. John Locke sold one million in five months. The traffic is huge and hungry.
D.D. Scott said that when her books were listed in the first 100 best sellers, her royalties increased from $3,000 per month to $14,000 in December, 2011.
Three things that took my attention in Professional Kindle Marketing were:
- Listing your other books and contact details on the last page of your book.
- Encouraging people to sign up to an autoresponder so you can keep in touch with them on an ongoing basis.
- The value of good reviews. Customer testimonials are one of the most effective sales tools on the product page.
There is so much more, like great advice on pricing strategies and how to use social marketing to your benefit.
We need to stop treating our books like a hobby and start treating it like a real business!
Professional Kindle Marketing is the perfect companion to my eGuide “Kindle Publishing Made Easy”. I tell you how to publish a Kindle book and Professional Kindle Marketing tells you how to create a buzz around it.
It is an excellent buy.

04Powerful & Insightful…”Professional Kindle Marketing”
Posted By: Val on February 4, 2012 at 10:30 amHow To Tell People Your Book Is Available
I want to recommend an ebook I purchased recently. Professional Kindle Marketing not only covers marketing a Kindle book in-depth, it also shows you how to market any book advertised on the multitude of Amazon web properties.
But more than that, “Professional Kindle Marketing” will teach you how to market your books Inside and Outside of the Amazon/Kindle marketplace.
This book covers Kindle Marketing, Amazon Marketing and General Book Marketing principles in great depth.
In 70-pages, this book will teach you everything you need to know, in order for you to:
Explode Your Book Sales!! AND Dramatically Increase Your Book Royalties!!
* Has your book been published by a print publishing house?
* Are you self-publishing your book?
* Have you published a Kindle book yet?
* Do you have book titles listed for sale inside of Amazon?
* Are you selling any books online?
* Are you still selling any of your books/reports as PDF documents only?
* Are you wondering if you should publish your book on Amazon / Kindle?
* Do you know how to price your books to maximize your royalties?
If you have answered Yes to any of these questions, then I really really recommend getting your own copy of the 70-page book marketing guide called, “Professional Kindle Marketing”.
This product focuses exclusively on marketing books inside and outside of the Amazon/Kindle marketplace.
It does not teach people how to format and upload Kindle books, a topic adequately covered in my eGuide “Kindle Publishing Made Easy.”
